LAX Police Reopen Evacuated Curbside Baggage Claims After Bomb Threat
LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (CBSLA.com) — A bomb threat involving Los Angeles International Airport on Saturday turned out to be unfounded, but many travelers still suffered long delays due to the scare.
A bomb squad responded to the lower level of Terminal 4 after someone called in a bomb threat to the FBI around 3 p.m., LAX police report.
The threat reportedly involved a Homeland Security van.
Police set up a perimeter and traffic was diverted away from the curbside baggage claims at terminals 3 through 6.
