Anti-Trump Gathering Spurs Brief Closure Of Several Off-Ramps Of 210 Freeway, Law Enforcement Source Says

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An anti-Trump gathering prompted the brief closure of several off-ramps of a thoroughfare in the Hansen Dam area, a law enforcement source said.

The California Highway Patrol said Sunday the eastbound 210 Freeway at the Osborne Street off-ramp had been impacted, along with other off-ramps but did not specify the nature of the incident.

As of 3:30 p.m., all closures were being lifted, according to CBS2/KCAL9 Reporter Greg Mills.

A law enforcement source had told CBS Los Angeles that the event was an anti-Trump gathering.

A flier posted to Instagram indicated that the "Mexican Flag Rideout" would begin at 7930 Van Nuys Boulevard in Van Nuys.

The group was schedule to gather at 11:30 a.m. with a start time at 12:30 p.m. and attendees were told to "bring out those flags," according to the flier.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the agency utilized all resources to minimize the crowd.

No arrests were made.
