LAPD Says 1 Of 2 Missing Girls Found Safe

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — One of two missing girls being sought by the Los Angeles police department has been found safe.

Officials with the Olympic Division of the LAPD said 11-year-old Madelyn Rosales was found about 1:30 p.m. Saturday after spending Friday night at a friend's house. There is nothing suspicious about her disappearance, police said.

Rosales was reported missing Friday evening from the 100 block of Vermont Avenue,in the city's Koreatown area, according to a news release from the LAPD.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated case, Samone Magee, 16, was reported missing from the Boyle Heights area later Friday night, according to another LAPD news release. She was last seen about 11 p.m. in the 2000 block of Zonal Avnue, and has a medical condition that requires daily medication, making her family extremely concerned for her health and safety.

Magee is black, with black hair and brown eyes, the release states. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighs about 185 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, pink pants, a blue and black jacket and gray tennis shoes.
