1 Arrested, 1 Detained In Connection With Hit-And-Run Of LAPD Bike Officer In Sherman Oaks

SHERMAN OAKS (CBSLA.com) — One person was arrested and one person was detained on Monday afternoon in connection with a hit-and-run incident in which an LAPD bicycle officer was struck by a vehicle in Sherman Oaks that fled the scene.

The officer was transported to a nearby hospital with relatively minor injuries.

The crash happened shortly before 4 p.m., near the corner of Dickins Street and Noble Avenue, after the bike officer attempted to stop a motorist for a traffic violation. The motorist's vehicle then struck the officer and fled the scene.
