LAPD: Woman Returns Lady Gaga's Stolen French Bulldogs To Police

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — The Los Angeles Police Department Friday safely recovered Lady Gaga's two French bulldogs, which were stolen Wednesday night by thieves who shot the dog walker.

According to LAPD, a woman met Lady Gaga's staff and detectives at the Olympic Community Police Station, just northwest of downtown, around 6 p.m. with the two missing dogs.

LAPD said the woman found the dogs and reached out to the singer's staff to return them. Police said the woman's identity and the location the dogs were found would remain confidential due to the active criminal investigation and for her safety.

According to the Associated Press, which first reported the story, LAPD said the woman who dropped off the dogs appeared to be "uninvolved and unassociated" with the attack.

As of 7 p.m., LAPD said the dogs were in the custody of Lady Gaga's representative. The singer is currently in Rome filming a movie.

The dog walker, Ryan Fisher, was shot once while he was walking three of the singer's dogs Wednesday night in Hollywood. Video from the scene showed a white sedan pulling up and two men jumping out before firing a single shot and fleeing with two of the dogs.

Fisher was in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.

Earlier Friday, Lady Gaga repeated her offer of a $500,000 reward for the return of the dogs, Koji and Gustav.

Police said they were still investigating the robbery to determine whether it was a random or targeted attack.
