LA Kings F Nolan Suspended For Boarding Call

NEW YORK (CBSLA.com/AP) — Los Angeles forward Jordan Nolan has been suspended for two games for boarding Detroit forward Darren Helm during the Kings' 5-2 loss on Friday night.

Nolan received a minor penalty for the play at 3:53 of the third period.

Nolan, who is considered a repeat offender, loses $17,073.18 in salary under the punishment announced Sunday by the NHL. The money goes to the players' emergency assistance fund.

Nolan has no points in 10 games this season, but earned 10 points with six goals and four assists in 2013-14.
