LA County Sheriff's Deputy Arrested On Child Molestation Charges
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy was arrested on Wednesday after being accused of molesting a middle school student.
Jovanni Argueta met the 12-year-old female on an online fantasy gaming site about a year ago, according to reports.
Argueta allegedly molested the Costa Mesa Middle School eighth-grader multiple times over the past year, leaving parents outraged.
"I cant imagine what the parents must be going through right now, or how they feel," Lina Wolfe said.
"I'm speechless. I can't believe that this can happen now," she added
Argueta was spotted on campus just last week, but when school staff called the police to report him, he vanished.
Costa Mesa police identified the man as Argueta and made the arrest on Wednesday at the LA County Training Facility in Whittier.
The first-year sheriff's deputy is currently out on bail.
