Deputies open fire in Lynwood

A deputy shooting in Lynwood turned into an hours-long standoff after an apparent barricade situation inside a nearby event center.

It happened near the intersection of South Alameda Street and East 110th Street.

No Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies were injured in the shooting. The suspect is in an unknown condition.

For nearly six hours, deputies supposedly contained a suspect inside of the nearby event center. However, when they entered and cleared the building they did not find a person in there.

Deputies arrested one suspect but are still searching for another one. They do not have a description.

Authorities originally responded to the area for a reported man with a gun.
