L.A. Woman Suspected In Arson At 'Mrs. Doubtfire' Home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a Los Angeles resident has been arrested in connection with an arson at the home where the 1993 movie "Mrs. Doubtfire" was filmed.

Tyqwon Eugenen Welch, 25, was arrested just before 10 a.m. Wednesday in San Jose after arson investigators received information as to her location, according to San Francisco police.

Welch was booked on suspicion of arson, possession of an incendiary device, trespassing, attempted murder, and making criminal threats.

The accusations stem from the Jan. 1 fire at the home in the 2600 block of Steiner Street. It remains unclear what led police to suspect Welch in the incident.

Police said Welch was being held at the San Francisco County Jail.

No further details were provided in the case which remains under investigation.
