L.A. Nanny Agency CEO Is Passionate About Her Career

Katie Provinziano is CEO of Westside Nannies. Westside Nannies is a boutique nanny agency located in Beverly Hills, CA. They are known for placing professional nannies with families throughout the Los Angeles area, particularly High Net Worth and celebrity households. What sets the company apart is the quality of their nanny candidates, their thorough and intensive vetting process and their commitment to ethical business practices and superior customer service.

Provinziano attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA and received a bachelor's degree in Speech Communication. Speech Communication, often referred to as "Rhetoric", is a lesser-known major and is the study of persuasive speech. Provinziano stated that she absolutely loved it!

What are the scope and responsibilities of your current role?

"As the CEO of Westside Nannies I manage our team, oversee the day-to-day operations of the agency and plan strategic growth initiatives and new product offerings. I also oversee all of our marketing efforts, and work to ensure that the business is operating efficiently and that we have a positive growth trajectory."

What is your favorite part of your daily duties?

"I find immense satisfaction in finding amazing nannies for our clients. Nannies play such an integral role in the lives of the children they work with; they are more than just caregivers, they are role models, and often times become part of the family. We take this responsibility very seriously and work to ensure that each family has the perfect nanny for their household."

Do you feel your education prepared you for your current role?

"Absolutely! In essence, my degree taught me how to communicate with people with varying backgrounds and how to quickly and effectively change communication styles depending on the audience. I utilize this knowledge every single day as I speak with our clients whether it is a busy single mom, a household manager, an A-list celebrity or the CEO of a fortune 500 company. The ability to quickly decipher each family's individual needs is crucial in determining the best childcare solution for their family."

Do you have any advice for people who desire to pursue a similar career?

"First, find what you are truly passionate about – if you do what you love then work won't really feel like work. Surround yourself by people who are hardworking and dedicated – you often become exactly like those you count as your closest friends so choose wisely! And read everything you can get your hands on – nonfiction that is. Be a lifelong learner and never stop growing and stretching yourself."
