Kevin Jeweler's Robber Believed To Have Struck Again In Northridge
NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — A man who robbed a Northridge jewelry store at gunpoint, getting away with items valued at about $100,000, may have committed a similar crime in Riverside.
The robbery happened about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kevin's Jewelers, 9301 Tampa Ave., at the Northridge Fashion Center mall, Los Angeles police Officer Liliana Preciado said.
Security video of the crime showed a man wearing a sport coat walking into the store and asking a clerk to see jewelry. When she showed him the items, he pulled out a gun, took the items, and walked out of the store.
The same man may be behind a similar armed robbery at a Riverside Kevin Jeweler's in September.
