Kelly Clarkson Is No Longer Miss Independent With Birth Of Baby Girl
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Kelly Clarkson joined Twitter in March of 2009 but she easily made her best tweet Saturday.
Clarkson, the 32-year-old platinum-selling recording artist who became an overnight star in 2002 as the first "American Idol," announced Saturday that she gave birth to a baby girl on June 12.
"Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!! :) " she tweeted.
It if the first child for Clarkson. Her husband, a talent manager, has two children from a previous marriage. He and Clarkson tied the knot in 2013. Blackstock is Reba McIntire's stepson, his father, Narvel, is Clarkson's manager.
Clarkson has nearly 100 hits on the Billboard charts and has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide.
