2 stabbed after fight on Metro bus in Glendale spills into the street

A fight on an LA Metro bus traveling through Glendale ended with two people stabbed and another two arrested after the individuals got off the bus and continued fighting in the street Monday night, according to the transit agency.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. as a Metro Line 180 bus drove eastbound on Los Feliz Road at South Central Avenue. The driver stopped the bus and four males got off, continuing an altercation in the street. The two individuals who suffered stab wounds were taken to nearby hospitals for injuries not believed to be life-threatening while two others were arrested at the scene, according to LA Metro.

The transit agency did not release the ages of the victims or those arrested.

Two days after the incident, Metro emailed KCAL News the account of the incident. The night of the stabbings, Glendale police had said officers arrested two boys on suspicion of stabbing a juvenile on the Metro bus after stealing his backpack. At the time, police also said another suspect was still at large.

Investigators with both the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and Glendale Police Department initially responded to the scene but LASD later took over the investigation since the attack happened on a bus.
