STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Well hopefully your allergies aren't bugging you too much today, especially with the very gusty winds. There are pretty good Santa Ana winds brewing Monday morning.
Red flag warnings are in effect through Wednesday. It is all being driven by a strong ridge of high pressure at the upper levels that is over the Eastern Pacific as well as a surface high pressure center to the north and east.
This pattern will remain through late Wednesday. By Thursday, the high pressure breaks down a bit and into the weekend, the on shore flow will return.
The forecast models are leaning at a storm for Southern Calfiornia late Sunday and early Monday.
