Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (July 17)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — We are nestled between an area of low pressure in the Pacific and a ridge of high pressure to the east Thursday bringing in an on-shore flow and a marine layer at about 2,500 feet deep.

That's slightly thinner from Wednesday, but it will still keep temperatures running about 5 to 6 degrees below average. The mild weather will continue through the rest of the week and even into the weekend.

Next week that high pressure ridge is going to expand into Southern California, which will bring some very warm temperatures inland. Expect to be back up into the 100s by Tuesday, and the high is going to be stuck there for most of the week. It appears there will be no threat of monsoonal moisture for a little while.
