Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Jan. 28)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — A bit of an interesting weather pattern setting up for the next few days.

There's a small ridge popping into the area, so temperatures will be above average. There is also an off-shore flow to help keep things warmer; however, we have mostly cloudy skies and that will hinder some of the solar heating.

On Thursday, a trough moves into the area, but there's still a bit of an off-shore flow at the surface that will keep temperatures on the warmer side.

By Friday, a wave of moisture moves through the area so we have a chance at very light shower. It looks like the best chances for rain will be for the communities that are to the east and south.

By Saturday, expect to dry out and warm up with a ridge of high pressure nosing into the west coast. Look for a warm Superbowl Sunday then some cooler weather to start the next work week.
