Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Aug. 8)
STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Expect more of the same into the weekend — clouds in the morning and sunshine for the afternoon.
Temperatures will continue to run very slightly below the seasonal averages. It will be a fantastic weekend with hazy afternoons.
Forecast models are now hinting at the return of the monsoonal flow next week, but a cut-off low to the north is our weather driver meaning "Cut-Of Low, Weather Man's Woe."
There's the potential for dangerous rip currents, so only the most experienced swimmers and surfers should be braving the beach.
On Sunday, look out for a bright and beautiful full moon. It's our second Super Moon in just a couple of months and this one should be better than the last. The Super Moon is when the moon is at its perigee (closest point to earth).
The next time it will be this close will be Sept. 28, 2015. The best time to photograph this event is just after sunset on Sunday.
