Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Aug. 22)
STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Just in time for the weekend, Mother Nature is settling down. It should be nice here in Los Angeles.
Look for a mellow pattern with clouds in the morning and sunshine by lunch. Temperatures will be moderate as well, running just a couple of degrees below average. The mild conditions is due to an on-shore flow.
The only hiccup in the forecast will be some heavy surf. There is a pretty active tropical storm system track in the Pacific. That's going to keep heavy surf in place and the potential for some dangerous rip currents, so be careful at the beach this weekend.
Next week there is an indication for a minor warm up, so expect temperatures around the seasonal average or maybe a degree higher. Also watch those tropical systems for some cloud cover by the middle of next week as well.
