$1M worth of property stolen in Hollywood Hills home invasion: LAPD

The Los Angeles Police Department said an armed home invasion was reported at around 3 a.m. on Multiview Drive in the Hollywood Hills. The stolen property is worth approximately $1 million, according to police.

LAPD North Hollywood officers responded after 3 a.m.

At least three suspects entered the residence and stole an unknown amount of property, including expensive jewelry, according to LAPD.

One male in his 20s was reportedly injured in the home invasion. He was conscious and breathing after suffering a strike to the head, according to LAPD. Two people were reportedly sleeping in the residence at the time of the break-in and were confronted at gunpoint.

The suspects were described as wearing dark clothing and ski masks. One suspect was armed with a semiautomatic blue-steel handgun, according to police. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.

LAPD confirmed a victim was pistol-whipped during the robbery and sustained minor injuries.

Nour Atta, described as a social media influencer, told reporters at the scene after daybreak Wednesday that four suspects who were armed and wearing masks entered the residence. He said he was pistol-whipped in the face.

"They had a gun, obviously, a couple of guns that they had; and I was still asleep, basically, when they came in," Atta said. "And that's just where it went; guns and hands were thrown and all that good stuff."

Atta said he was unsure if he was targeted based on his online postings.

"I am an influencer," he said. "I know what comes with it. I guess maybe they noticed me, they went about it, handled their business; or it could have been something random. You never know, nowadays."
