Jared Goff Connects With Tavon Austin For 1st Career TD

Rams fans got their first look at potential franchise quarterback Jared Goff last week against the Miami Dolphins. Goff's debut wasn't overly impressive due to the conservative game plan from the coaching staff that saw Goff rarely attempt passes more than 10 yards down the field. He completed just 54-percent of his passes for 134 yards and no touchdowns, but also didn't turn the ball over either in the 14-10 loss to Miami.
This week, Goff's task looked a little easier with the team facing the soft New Orleans Saints defense and right from the opening kick, the Rams were more aggressive. On the first play from scrimmage, goff got in rhythm by finding running back Todd Gurley on a quick swing pass out of the backfield that went for a 31-yard gain.
Then, Goff hit Kenny Britt on a nice out route along the sidelines for 17 yards. Two plays later, Goff showed the talent that made the Rams trade up to get him with the number one pick in the NFL Draft dropping a beautiful pass into the waiting arms of Tavon Austin for his first career touchdown pass.
Rams fans hope this is just the first of many to come for the rookie QB.
