3 Detained After Car-To-Car Shooting, Crash On SB 14 In Newhall Pass

NEWHALL (CBSLA) — Authorities are investigating a car-to-car shooting on the 14 Freeway in the Newhall Pass.
L.A. County Fire Dept. and L.A. County Sheriff's deputies responded to the southbound 14 Freeway at the 5 Freeway connector shortly after 8:00 p.m. Friday.
Deputies say shots were fired between a grey Mercedes and another car or truck that took off.
Three people were detained for questioning.
Deputies collected bullet casings from the scene and are searching for the suspects in the other vehicle.
Southbound lanes on the 14 Freeway at the 5 connector were shutdown to traffic during the investigation. Lanes re-opened shortly before 11 p.m.
