2 teenage boys arrested for North Hollywood execution-style shooting death
Two teenage boys, ages 13 and 14, were arrested in connection to the shooting death of a 19-year-old man in North Hollywood.
Jorge Ramos was gunned down on Feb. 20 near Vanowen Street and Morse Avenue around 1:30 p.m.
He was found with a gunshot wound to the forehead and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Los Angeles Police Department.
Witnesses told police that they saw two people leaving the scene.
On Feb. 29, investigators served search and arrest warrants in the San Fernando Valley.
"During the course of the search warrant service, the two subjects were arrested peacefully, and several items of evidence were recovered," police said.
The 13-year-old boy was arrested in Van Nuys, and the 14-year-old boy was arrested in North Hills, police said. Their names were not released.
According to police, prosecutors last week filed one count of murder against the 14-year-old and one count of accessory to murder against the 13-year-old.
