Investigation underway after man gets stabbed in Downtown Los Angeles

Authorities are investigating a stabbing that happened in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday evening. 

It happened at around 8 p.m. in the 1000 block of Sunset Boulevard near the 110 Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. 

Circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, but officers arrived to the scene and found a man suffering from at least one stab wound. 

The victim was treated at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. It's unclear if they required transport to a nearby hospital and what their condition was at the latest. 

Police say that a male suspect who was last seen wearing a white shirt and khaki shorts had already fled from the scene by the time they arrived.

No further information was provided by detectives.
