Pasadena Police Probe Alleged Hate Crime Against Interracial Couple
PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Pasadena police are investigating an incident involving an interracial couple as a possible hate crime.
The incident reportedly occurred about 4 p.m. Friday outside of a Starbucks coffee shop on Los Robles Avenue and Colorado Boulevard but was reported hours later.
Police said the suspect punched a man of Armenian descent and spit on an African-American woman.
Officials said the pair did not provoke the suspect who allegedly commented on the race of both victims.
No further information was available although detectives were looking for security video while they investigate.
