Suspect arrested in connection to the deadly shooting in San Dimas

A suspect was arrested in connection to the deadly shooting of a man found shot inside his car inside his garage in San Dimas on Tuesday.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department detectives said it was likely a follow-home robbery.

The man was identified as Nicholas Simbolon, age 42, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner's office.

Simbolon was found shot to death inside his garage sitting inside his Tesla around 6:48 p.m. in the 1800 block of Hawkbrook Drive, LASD said. 

When police arrived to the scene they found Simbolon unresponsive and he was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Authorities said Simbolon was possibly a victim of a robbery where the suspect followed him home.

No suspect information has been released.
