Homicide Detectives Investigate Deadly Shooting In Compton
COMPTON (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives investigated the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man on Monday.
Shortly before midnight on Sunday, deputies were sent to the 2200 block of East Compton Boulevard for report of a shooting, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Upon their arrival, authorities located a Hispanic man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital where he later died.
The victim's identity is being held pending family notification.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
