Hit-and-run suspect smashes into innocent driver in El Monte
A hit-and-run suspect crashed after returning to the same place where he hit a young boy riding his bicycle.
At first, the El Monte Police Department said the suspect crashed during a pursuit. However, they rolled back that statement and said that officers were trying to catch up to the suspect after he returned to the area.
The initial hit-and-run crash happened Wednesday evening. After striking the young teen, the suspect drove away forcing family members to call the police. While canvassing the crime scene, officers spotted the suspect driving in the area and began to follow him.
According to the El Monte Police Department, the suspect crashed into an innocent driver at the intersection of Valley Boulevard and Durfee Avenue. No one was injured in this collision.
