Hesperia Man, 28, Charged In Killing Of 35-Year-Old Girlfriend Inside Burbank Home
BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — Officials have formally charged a 28-year-old Hesperia man with the killing of his 35-year-old girlfriend inside a Burbank home where both were staying.
Authorities said Timothy Aguilar Andrade was charged Thursday with stabbing his girlfriend to death inside the bedroom of a Burbank home in the 1900 block of Richard Street, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced.
Timothy Aguilar Andrade fatally stabbed Brandi Carrasco by stabbing her in the neck Aug. 23, officials said.
He faces one count of murder with a knife-use allegation.
Two days ago, police released Brian Thomas Lowe, 49. They arrested him Monday but let him go when he provided evidence that convinced them he was not involved in the murder.
The defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of 26 years to life in state prison if convicted on all charges.
Prosecutors are recommending bail be set at more than $1 million.
The case remains under active investigation by the Burbank Police Department.
