SANTA MONICA (CBSLA.com) — Born to be wild?
Here's your chance to get your (electric) motor running.
Harley-Davidson is coming to the Santa Monica Pier Monday (between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. ) to offer prospective buyers a chance to test drive their new motorcycle that is powered by electricity.
It's called "The Livewire" and here's your chance to test drive one. (All you need is an invite and a valid motorcycle license.)
The company says, "rider or not, you're invited to experience a pivotal moment" in the company's 111 year history. "Come party with us."
The stop over in Santa Monica is part of Harley-Davidson's "The Experience Tour" which has been to cities around the country.
For those who are born to be semi wild, the company is also offering a ride on "Jumpstart" a demo simulator. (No license required for the simulator.)
