Shooter At Large After Pair Killed Outside Their Pomona Home
POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Police are searching for whoever fatally shot two people in Pomona.
The pair, identified by a family member as siblings, was standing outside their home at 11:45 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of East Lexington Avenue when they were killed, Pomona Police Department Lt. Ronald McDonald said.
A 59-year-old man, identified by the coroner's office as Lafferal Alexander, died at the scene, McDonald said.
The man's sister, who coroner's Lt. David Smith identified as Bennie Porter, 53, was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The couple were shot in front of their residence, a single-family house, by a suspect or suspects who walked up and opened fire, McDonald said.
McDonald said there was no suspect description.
