Griffin Carries Clippers Past Defending Champion Warriors

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Blake Griffin scored 23 of his 29 points in the first half to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 130-95 victory against the Golden State Warriors in a preseason game Tuesday night.

Chris Paul added seven points and 10 assists before he was ejected in the third quarter with his second technical foul for arguing with official Eric Lewis.

Golden State rested Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala.

WARRIORS: Klay Thompson scored a team-high 21 points after he missed the previous game for family reasons. Former Clipper Shaun Livingston scored 10 points in his first preseason start.

CLIPPERS: Griffin scored 23 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the field in the first half. Austin Rivers scored 16 points. Lance Stephenson scored four points in 18 minutes in his first preseason start.

STAR WATCH: DeAndre Jordan had 10 points and 10 rebounds. One of his highlights was a two-handed dunk off J.J. Redick's assist in the first quarter.

MIDSEASON FORM: Redick completed a four-point play after he made 3-pointer while being fouled in the third quarter.

UP NEXT: The Clippers will host Portland on Thursday. Golden State will play the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday at Honda Center.
