Gov. Brown On San Bernardino Mass Shooting: 'California Will Spare No Effort In Bringing Killers To Justice'

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Gov. Jerry Brown issued a statement following Wednesday's mass shooting at a social services building.

Fourteen people were killed in the shootings that started just before 11 a.m. at the Inland Regional Center. More than a dozen others were injured.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims' families and everyone affected by the brutal attack," Brown said in a statement. "California will spare no effort in bringing these killers to justice."

The governor's office said, out of respect for those affected by the mass shooting, the annual Capitol tree-lighting ceremony, which Brown was initially scheduled to appear at has been canceled.
