Google Launches Site That Tracks Most Popular Costumes Nationwide
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — If you're hoping to turn heads this Halloween with a unique costume, you may want to check out a site launched by Google first.
It's called Frightgeist and the site has compiled the most popular costumes based on search data.
Frightgeist says it in fact uses Google Trends to tell the user what's trending at a costume party based on location.
The top five costumes currently trending nationally include: Harley Quinn (No. 1), Star Wars (No. 2), Superhero (No. 3), Pirate (No. 4), and Batman (No. 5).
Costumes trending in Los Angeles include: Star Wars (No. 1), Harley Quinn (No. 2), Pirate (No. 3), Batman (No. 4), and Minnie Mouse (No. 5).
