Freeze Warning In Effect Across The Southland
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A freeze warning was in effect Friday morning as the Southland continues to experience frigid temperatures.
The weather was a result of a cold air mass along with clear skies and light winds, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning was in effect until 8 a.m. for Fontana, Moreno Valley, Riverside and San Bernardino and until 9 a.m. for Glendale, Pasadena, Pomona and Santa Clarita.
It was issued as temperatures were expected between 29 and 32 degrees for two or more consecutive hours.
NWS officials warn residents the cold can kill crops and vegetation and harm outdoor pets and livestock.
