Fontana couple arrested for allegedly stealing $100,000 worth of items from storage units

San Bernardino County couple connected to at least 20 storage burglaries in Southern California

A collectible Batman and Batmobile toy, power tools, sporting equipment and car parts are just some of the stolen goods that Rialto police uncovered at a San Bernardino storage facility.

Officers are looking for the owners of at least $100,000 worth of valuable items that were allegedly stolen by Eric Navarette and Kassandra Arteaga, according to the Rialto Police Department. Investigators said the couple broke into storage facilities in Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

A man has already claimed his missing property including a dollhouse he'd bought for his daughter for Christmas.

"As soon as he exited his vehicle, he's like that's mine," Sgt. David Padilla said. "He right away says this is high value, over $50,000 worth of stuff."

Police said the suspects got into storage facilities in places like Jurupa Valley, Riverside and La Verne by breaking off the locks before hauling the expensive items to their own storage units. Both are on probation for numerous thefts and would sell the property online, according to detectives.

Police believe the couple are connected to at least 20 storage space burglaries across Southern California. All of the stolen items that were hidden in San Bernardino have been picked up and are being held at the Rialto Police Department until the owners claim them.
