Storm Watch Continues Across The Southland

SILVERADO CANYON (CBSLA.com) — Scattered rain and snowfall continued across the Southland Monday.

A flash flood warning for the Silverado Canyon burn area was lifted early around 6:30 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

A winter storm warning remained in effect for the San Bernardino and Riverside County mountains until 4 p.m.

Overnight, the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway and the southbound 110 from the Glen Anderson Freeway to Redondo Beach Boulevard in Gardena due to flooding over all lanes except the express ones. All lanes except one were reopened by 5 a.m.

More snow showers were expected in the Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles county mountains as well as the San Gabriel Mountains.

According to the NWS, pea-sized hail scattered across Huntington Beach, a rare sighting for the shoreline.

A winter weather advisory, which notes hazardous travel conditions, was in effect in the San Gabriels until 6 p.m.
