First-Ever Labor Contract For Santa Ana Pot Shop Employees Announced
SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Details of a first-of-its kind labor contract for employees at the first licensed marijuana dispensary in Santa Ana, where one of the owners was shot in November, will be announced Thursday.
South Coast Safe Access negotiated the contract with the Orange County Labor Federation's United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 324, which represents pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy clerks.
A part-owner of the dispensary was shot and wounded about 3 p.m. Nov. 2, as the 48-year-old victim was exiting the business on his way to his vehicle in the parking lot, Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said.
The attacker in that crime remains at large.
