Firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department worked to put out flames showing from the second floor of a two-story home under construction in the 4700 block of East Charters Avenue in Highland Park, according to the LAFD's Nicholas Prange.

The fire broke out around 3:28 p.m. Saturday.

Arriving firefighters found the blaze well developed and brought hose lines inside to put out flames in the attached converted garage, attic and living space of the home, Prange said.

The flames were out by 4:13 p.m., after a 44-minute effort, he said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. There are no reports of injuries.
