Fire destroys Cara Delevingne's mansion in Studio City
Two people were injured in a large fire at a two-story mansion in the hills of Studio City owned by model and actress Cara Delevingne.
Crews responded to the blaze around 4 a.m. on Friday to the home located at 3265 N. Oakdell Lane, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
One firefighter was transported the hospital in fair condition and one resident sustained minor smoke inhalation. Other residents were evacuated as fire crews worked to contain the flames from reaching nearby homes.
Officials with LADF said the blaze began in the rear of the 8,000-square-foot two-story home and spread quickly to the attic.
The roof of the house collapsed as firefighters hosed down the exterior, LAFD said. It took 94 firefighters and just over 2 hours to get the blaze under control.
The house is owned by model and actress Cara Delevingne, who is currently in England and was not at the scene, according to TMZ.com.
Delevingne reacted to the fire on social media, posting cell phone video of fire trucks parked along the street.
She also posted a photo of two cats with the caption "My heart is broken today... I cannot believe it. Life can change in a blink of an eye. So cherish what you have." Delevingne revealed in her post that her cats were rescued from the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
