FBI Seeks Public's Help Identifying 2 Suspects In LA, Beverly Hills Bank Robberies

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Officials responded to two bank robberies Friday believed to have been committed by separate suspects on Wilshire Boulevard.

According to the FBI, the first robbery occurred at a Citibank located in the 8400 block of Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills.

The suspect passed a note demanding cash, which threatened an explosive device, officers explained.

Police described the suspect as a white male around the age of 55-years-old, with a large build and very pale complexion.

He was further described as being over six-feet tall, weighing around 230 pounds and reported carried a backpack during the robbery, authorities said.

According to witnesses, he was seen wearing a New England Patriots baseball cap and had a surgical mask on his face.

The suspect also had a clear bandage on his arm, similar to one that would be affixed after having blood drawn, witnesses explained to officers.

The second robbery took place at a One West Bank located in the 12400 block of Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.

Officers said the suspect pointed a handgun at several victims during the robbery.

Detectives described the suspect as a white male around the age of 45-years-old with pock-marked cheeks.

He weighs no more than 190 pounds, and stands six-feet tall, authorities reported.

It was unclear if any money was taken during either robbery.

No injuries were reported.
