FBI Hopes Public Can Help Them Identify Man Wanted For Possible Endangerment Of Teen

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  —   The FBI hopes the public can help them identify a man they say is wanted for the possible endangerment of a teen.

The FBI believes the teen may be in danger. The unidentified man-- with the teen --  may be traveling through California or neighboring states, the FBI said.

He was last seen driving a blue car -- possibly a Mazda Protege -- with stolen Alabama license plate # 58DZ806 on the rear of the vehicle. When last seen, on September 29, the vehicle was missing a right rear hubcap and did not have a front license plate.

The man appears to be white, in his 50s or 60s. He has short-cut white/gray hair and a receding hair line. He was last seen with trimmed salt-and-pepper facial hair. The man was last seen in a dark colored t-shirt, blue jeans, white Nikes, and black prescription glasses. He  claims to be from Hawaii and might be seen panhandling or sleeping in improvised shelters.

The FBI believes this man is traveling with a white female teen. The unknown female was last seen with waist-length brown hair and wearing a brown t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown Nikes.

In late September, the couple were seen in Laguna Beach. Earlier that month, they were spotted in the Crossroads Shopping Center in Meridian, Mississippi.

If you have information regarding the identity of the male, please contact your local FBI Office. In Los Angeles, the FBI may be reached 24 hours a day at (310)  477-6565.
