Fatal Shootings In Colton, Moreno Valley Linked; Arrest Made In San Diego
COLTON (CBS/AP) — Two people have been killed in separate Inland Empire shootings and a suspect has been arrested in San Diego.
Riverside County sheriff's Deputy Armando Munoz tells the Riverside Press-Enterprise that the shootings occurred Wednesday in Colton and Moreno Valley.
A woman was killed in the first shooting, which occurred behind a gas station around 5:30 p.m. in Colton. A man was killed and two women were injured in the next shooting about 20 minutes later in Moreno Valley, where a neighbor reported hearing what sounded like a fight between a father and son.
Police did not say exactly how the two shootings are connected.
The arrest came after a worker was briefly held hostage in a taco shop in the Mission Hills area of San Diego, where police had already located an abandoned car linked to the homicide cases.
