Fatal Crash Involving Big Rig Shuts Transition Road In Sylmar

SYLMAR (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say the transition road of a busy thoroughfare has been shut after a big rig and multiple vehicles were involved in a collision.
The crash on the westbound 210 Freeway transition to the northbound 5 Freeway in Sylmar unfolded Monday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol has confirmed a fatality. As many as three vehicles and a semitrailer truck were involved in the crash.
The accident has caused a large backup on the freeway in the Newhall Pass area.
