Fatal Accident Closes Lanes On 710 Freeway In Long Beach
LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Crews Wednesday were on the scene of an accident that killed a female pedestrian and shut down the southbound 710 freeway, officials said.
According to officials, the accident occurred just after 8:30 p.m. when a female victim was reportedly hit by a vehicle while walking on the 710 southbound near the 405 freeway.
The Long Beach Fire Department was on scene but was unable to help the victim and pronounced her dead at the scene.
KCAL9's Stu Mundel reported from overhead that officials opened one lane allowing drivers access to the 405 freeway.
