Facebook 'Masks' Help You Get In The Halloween Spirit

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Halloween is right around the corner, and Facebook is helping people get in the spirit by offering Masks in Facebook Live and Halloween-themed reactions.

Masks in Facebook Live will act almost identically like the filters on Snapchat, except  the user will be able to use them while shooting live video.

Facebook is offering a number of festive masks for Halloween, including a skull, an evil queen, and two limited edition masks: a pumpkin and a witch. The Masks feature will continue past the holiday, and will continue to update year-round.

Masks will be made available for people using Facebook Live on iOS in the US, UK, and New Zealand.

Facebook has also launched a set of limited-edition reactions that users will be able to select from in the days leading up to and through Halloween.

The reactions are limited to a select set of countries, and include a cackling witch to express laughter, to a grimacing jack-o'-lantern to show anger.
