Ex-NFL Star, Businessman Form Friendship After Teens Ransack Respective Homes

LA HABRA HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — A former NFL player and a businessman have formed a friendship after teens ransacked their respective homes last year.

Brian Holloway, a former offensive tackle for the New England Patriots and the Oakland Raiders, and "trucking magnate" Nick Radoi had similar misfortunes, reports KCAL9's Melanie Woodrow.

In November, teens broke into Radoi's La Habra Heights home. Later, hundreds of partygoers showed up and stayed to loot.

Woodrow reports they stained carpets, stole expensive clothing and attempted to smash the glass around a 16-foot pool. The young kids also swiped the surveillance video.

"It was very hard to believe this situation," Radoi said.

Last August, the same situation unfolded at Holloway's upstate New York home.

"They were broadcasting. 'I can't believe we're doing this, this is Holloway's place,'" Holloway said.

The athlete watched as the party played out on Twitter complete with selfies.

Holloway then created a website, posted the tweets and invited the guilty teens to come clean.

Initially one showed up; later, a few more.

"We've gotta save these kids. We've gotta do something," Holloway said.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has arrested and charged 17 teens in connection to the event at Radoi's home.

At least six people were arrested and charged in connection to the party at Holloway's residence.
