DUI Suspected After Pedestrian Struck, Killed In San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Police were on the scene of a deadly crash on Monday night that authorities believe was the result of a DUI.

San Bernardino police say the driver of the vehicle was under the influence and driving down a residential street when they struck a pedestrian.

It happened on Harrison Street near East Highland Avenue.

Authorities say the driver then kept driving, before running a red light and hitting a white BMW. The suspect vehicle then crashed into a tree, where it came to rest.

The pedestrian was killed and the driver was arrested. The victim in the BMW suffered minor injuries.
