Drivers, Beware: Travel Delays Expected On Interstates 10, 15, 40 Over Labor Day Weekend

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Caltrans warned drivers on Wednesday to anticipate travel delays in San Bernardino over the Labor Day holiday weekend due to reduced lanes and construction work.

Interstates 10, 40 and 15 – all of which are used to get in and out of resort locations – are expected to have impacted travel times between Sept. 4 and Sept. 7.

Up to a 4-hour delay is estimated between the hours of 1 p.m. and midnight on Monday for those traveling westbound on I-10 and I-40 in areas where traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction, according to Caltrans.

Caltrans says paving and interchange improvements are currently underway on the I-15 in the Cajon Pass and Devore, reducing speed limits to 60 miles per hour. There are also reduced lanes in Devore on that thoroughfare.
