Dodgers Reach Preliminary Agreement With Cuban Infielder Erisbel Arruebarruena


LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - The Los Angeles Dodgers have reached preliminary agreement with another Cuban infielder Erisbel Arruebarruena, according to MLB.com.

Though the team has not confirmed the agreement, the MLB report says there is "physical exams and possible legal and immigration issues to resolve."

Arruebarruena, who is known for his slick glove, will begin his professional career in the U.S. with either the Albuquerque Isotopes or Chattanooga Lookouts -- Dodgers minor league affiliates.

With the departure of Mark Ellis, the Dodgers signed the other Cuban Alex Guerrero in January to fill in at second.

February 13 is the day all players will report to Spring Training.
