Dodgers Place Puig On DL; Activate OF Scott Van Slyke
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed outfielder Yasiel Puig on the 15-day Disabled List with a strained left hamstring.
The club also activated OF Scott Van Slyke from the DL, who had been out since April 10th with a back injury.
Puig had missed the previous four games, and the team decided to just put him on the DL instead of waiting it out.
Puig is hitting 237 with five home runs and 20 RBI this season, while Van Slyke went 7-31 in his minor league rehab assignment.
